Spending time with special people

Mum, Natalie and I went to spend a couple of days with my other sister, Tracie. I fell in love with The Lost Gardens of Heligan. My head was full of so many ideas when I came away.

It was also nice for Mum to have all three of her children all together.

I am learning how to blog from my new phone. Mainly because it is a nice way to keep a picture diary for me and to keep in touch with family.

  3. Lovely post. :-) No pictures of you though! I'd love to see the Lost gardens of Heligan again as when I went with Mum and Ray not much was growing as it was out of season, so would be lovely to see now! I like the photo of Mum at the bottom, she looks lovely in it. xxxx

  5. Heligan is brilliant isn't it. It's been a while since I went but it's good to see your pics.

Did you all have a good time? And how many cuttings did you manage to get your hands on...

(if anyone from Heligan reads this comment, then that last bit was a joke...my friend would never do anything like that...honest!!!)xx

  6. I live near Heligan and the story behind the whole process of "finding" Heligan is a really fascinating one. Looks like the weather was kind on that day too. Although I have been known to walk round it even in the rain!!

  7. Looks lovely - somewhere I'd like to visit...
As to my blanket, I join as I go - when I crochet the final round of the square I connect it to other squares in the blanket at the same time. Much less work involved, which suits me! I'll try and post a little tutorial. It's the method I always use to join squares and, if necessary, will modify the pattern of the final round to allow me to do so (this is not required with plain old grannies though).
