.....not the sort that uses loads of energy and make you slim!! The good old spinning wheel is back out, set up and working well.
You have to remember that I am still learning and last week I took my wheel, some fleece to Jenny She taught me how to ply the wool and we had a really relaxing and enjoyable morning spinning. I'd like to do that more often but know she is really so busy all the time (I don't know where she gets her energy from!! I'd like to bottle if I could)

This is what i have spun tonight. I have been given a new TV and digi box. It is fantastic (Thank you very much Sue) so I sat and watched the news (the picture wasn't green!!)
So I span, then plied it wound it into a skein. I really am happy with the way this has turned out. Looks almost real! Now to make a few more then!!
I am ging to try to have half an hour carding tomorrow, I need to buid up a stock ready for the winter when I want to master the art of spinning!
Nun night

  1. It does look real! Well done. it looks way to difficult for me! glad your TV picture isn't green anymore!

  2. it looks brilliant - once you get going its very addictive!

  3. I can't help it, but when I see a spinning wheel I always think of Sleeping Beauty!
I'm sure that it is not an easy skill to well done!
