It's been and gone for another year!!!

Sorry I have been away from blogging for ages. I have been reading (yours)but just not really getting around to writing my own.

Christmas has totally thrown me this year. I planned to be so organised, well, I did say planned!!

Did actually manage to make most of my presents, trouble is, sometimes they don't look like they have not only cost a lot, but they also have taken hours to do. Still, all of mine went down really well. Remember the Attic / Hen mitts? My sister liked this sock yarn we saw in St Ives, so it became mitts. See.....they actually fit (thankfully she has much smaller hands then I)
Jasper was given a calender.....Remember he is 14 .....Yep, thanks to his cousin he is the VERY proud owner of a Page Three calender.

So much so it got sneaked into the family photo....

His face was a picture when he showed it to my Grandad

Mmmmmm..........86 years old and STILL understanding (or remembering) what the calender was all about!!

My little sister and I. (not to myself, 2010 must sort the weight thing out!!)

Little sis and Jose....
Big Sis and Jose....

I just love this smile, so so natural

My Mum (below) and my Grandad above

Mum's op was cancelled as it was found at her pre-op that her blood was 5.2 instead of 12 - 18. Whoops. Turns out she had been bleeding internally and was a) lucky being alive b) not having had a heart attack or stroke. So once her level is back up then she'll be going in.

My Dad deep in thought (either that of something stuck in his teeth!)

And of course Lily was also joining in!!

Now, I started this blog with the intention of posting about stuff I had made, or wanted to make. I seem to have gone a bit off track. So 2010, new year, new start.....
I brought these mitts today in a shop, not just because I like them (I do actually) but because I want to copy them, they look so easy. Knitted rib, then trebles all around. So I shall keep you posted.

So simple but the colours make it really effective.
I have so much stuff to finish, sort out, file, recycle or dump. So maybe (and I am sure I am not alone in this) 2010 will see WIP finished, cottage sorted (well you can't rush these things) and life in general a bit more on track.

In case I don't post again till the New Year. I wish you all well. xx
